#170 – Will the Future of Dentistry Give Us A Reason to Smile?

Today it makes me smile to welcome orthodontist, CEO and entrepreneur Dr. Ingrid Murra to The Alden Report. Dr. Murra is passionate about giving people the ability to smile whenever they want. Realizing from a very early age (8 years old) that she wanted to be an Orthodontist, Dr. Murra is a graduate of New York University’s College of Dentistry and completed her orthodontic residency at Harvard Medical School. After practicing for a short time, Dr. Murra realized that the dental industry in general needed a radical transformation from its outdated and conventional practices. As a result, she founded the company Two Front whose mission is to empower orthodontists and dentists to provide patients with the best clear aligner care by working together through software. Using a proprietary, tech-enabled platform, Two Front connects dentists and orthodontists to create beautiful smiles through comprehensive and collaborative care. As if successfully completing over a decade of medical education weren’t enough, Dr. Murra is a self-taught entrepreneur. As the Founder and CEO of Two Front, Dr. Murra spearheaded its efforts in raising over $5 million in venture capital funds.

In addition to learning about her fascinating background and entrepreneurial ventures, we discuss the growing industry of clear aligners, the various direct-to-consumer teeth straightening companies and products which are showing up recently and how to safely and appropriately straighten teeth in the long term.

Thank you so much to Dr. Ingrid Murra for joining us this week on The Alden Report.
