#132 – Is Asking For Help the Answer?

Today I’m very happy to welcome entrepreneur, international speaker and best-selling author David Meltzer. David’s life’s mission is to empower OVER 1 BILLION people to be happy! He is the Co-founder of Sports 1 Marketing and formerly served as CEO of the renowned Leigh Steinberg Sports & Entertainment agency, which was the inspiration for the movie Jerry Maguire. He is also a three-time international best-selling author, a Top 100 Business Coach, the executive producer of Entrepreneur‘s #1 digital business show, Elevator Pitch, and host of the top entrepreneur podcast, The Playbook. His newest book, Game-Time Decision Making, was a #1 new release. David has been recognized by Variety Magazine as their Sports Humanitarian of the Year and awarded the Ellis Island Medal of Honor. As one of Forbes’ Top 10 Keynote speakers, David is a value-based speaker whose combination of inspiration, energy, and pragmatism has led to recognition by outlets such as Forbes and Entrepreneur as well as a starring role in WEN’s World’s Greatest Motivators.

We start by going over his background and his experience with bouncing back from failure. Once again, as with many of my guests, his story struck a familiar cord with myself as we share many similar experiences. To me it’s always fascinating to hear how other’s learn from their mistakes and the lesson David learned in terms of what the true basis of happiness is incredibly enlightening. We talk about the absolute need to ask others for help and how we should ask others how we can help them in return. From there, we talk about the concept of happiness, how there are 5 daily practices which are key to happiness and how it is something that we all need to work on everyday.

Thank you so much again to David for joining on this episode of The Alden Report.
